NSRS Raceday Rules

1. No flaming of any kind. If you have a problem, wait till after the race in Yahoo chat to voice your opinion. There is no excuss for any reason to flame someone during a race. No "WTF", or anything of the sort will be not tolerated. We want to have clean fun racing, and we understand at times people make mistakes. Just wait till after race to bring it the drivers and any NSRS officials attention.
2. No passing till the backstretch on starts and restarts. We understand someone might slip up or get loose, hold your line and proceed. What we do not want to see people force the issue and cause a wreck or caution right after we start the race or after a caution. Your tires are cold, it does take a couple laps to get heat in them, just because you made that move with 20 laps on them in practice, doesnt mean it will work on a restart.
3. Caution comes out, hold your position. DO NOT RACE BACK TO THE YELLOW! We have seen to many accidents with people racing back to the yellow. There is a reason NASCAR changed that rule. With 3 laps to go, that will determine the the finishing order, so racing back is allowed. Once you cross the start finish line, be off the gas and be prepared for other cars to be slowing down to catch the pace car. Some pace cars are extremly slow to come out. So please stagger yourself from the car in front of you till the pace car picks up the field. Once pace car has field and everyone is slowed down, please keep up with the field and DO NOT dump car in front of you. Keep a safe distance, but at the same time there is no reason to hit someone under caution.
4. BE PATIENT! You do not win a 150 lap race by leading lap 1, 20, 50, or 100. Be aware that people are around you on restarts, you can not drive your line with someone on the inside or out. You will have to lift to not drift up into the other lane. It might take a lap or two, but some give and take will be required on starts and restarts.
5. During practice or happy hour please take the time to figure out what gear you will use for starts and restarts. People tend to forget or not exactly know what gear to start in and can spin the tires which can cause other drivers to check up behind you. Also during happy hour do one pit stop to know where your pit box is. After a long green run it is easy to forget where your supposed to pit.
6. Did we mention be patient?
7. Please keep race chat to a minumium, and it keep it race related. No chatting at all during Q. The default chat commands work and you can alter them with what you want, but excessive chat will not be tollerated. (see tyler for that)
8. Lucky Dog, if you are the first car a lap or more down, we will give you your lap back. You will be required to start in the back of the field in order to get the lap back. Failure to do so will result in not getting your lap back. If an offical tells you to start in the back and you dont decided to start on the inside that is fine. You will not get your automotically. Also, if you cause a caution attempting to get your lap back, you will be black flagged. If you gain your lap back with the black flag you will loose at least one more lap possibly two depending on the track. We have this rule to prevent cautions from coming.
9. Lap down or more, get out of way. Please yield to the lead lap cars. Get out of the groove and out of the way. We have lucky dog for a reason.
10. Last but not least, we can't say it enough, be patient...
