How can i setup an invisible detection wall to tell when someone crosses the center line of the track, which would result in disqualification

Dragsters reach over 300 miles per hour before you have read this sentence.

First I see your sig works, which I had no idea it would! :)

Second, I dont know of any way shape or form to get dq'd in a race other then not serving a black flag in time or driving the wrong way to long. I have an idea that I will try soon. No idea if it will work, but wth do we got to lose.

Try using two AIW lines running parallel to each other. I believe that there are 6 line types. Track, Pit Road, Pit Road Extension, Second Pit Road, Second Pit Road Extension, and Extra, in that order. Make the first line the primary AIW path, then run a second line parallel to the first one. Make the second line "Extra" and connect it's start to the start of the primary line, and it's end to the end of the primary line. Make it so that the paint strip is illegal to drive on.

This may or may not work and it probably will not work with AI as they will want only one AIW path for the racing line. But it has a chance of working online.

TC I debated on trying something like that (not exact but sorta close lol), but the roadies where you can get yelled at for cutting, well it doesnt always work. Might give it a try for a laugh anyways. Have you tried it?

On a dif note, I tried something and it sorta worked. Now I need to try it on the drag strip.

Not yet, but it seemed reasonable to put the idea out. I have plenty of experience with AIW editing though.

So what I did was place 2 xpitin sectors in the center.

Instance=xpitin
{
Render=False Change=False VisGroups=(32)
MeshFile=xpitin.gmt CollTarget=True HATTarget=False
MeshFile=xpitin01.gmt CollTarget=True HATTarget=False
MeshFile=xpitin02.gmt CollTarget=True HATTarget=False
Response=VEHICLE,PITSTOP
}

Each gmt facing the lane. You also have to change in the RFM the line LapsToServePenalty = 3 to LapsToServePenalty = 1. What happens is when the car crosses the center line it thinks its pitting. Then you get a speeding penalty and if you dont serve the penalty (which you cant) you get black flagged plus DQ'd. This isnt 100% fool proof but is better then nothing at all.
