When CMP is ready for download, I will post the link here for everyone to download the track. Any questions, comments, suggestions, please feel free to let us know. You just have to sign up for a free account and please post away.
We want to send out a big thanks to everyone who has helped us out along the way, with getting this track put together. It took many, many long nights in front of the comp, changing and testing to get the track just right. We would like to see the entire Hooters Pro Cup Schedule produced. Our next project, SGMP, should help in that cause.
Thanks,
Jeff NSRS ADMIN |

After downloading, just unzip to your tracks folder.
http://astgn2k3.simodified.com/tracks/CMP.zip
If you have downloaded a previous version, please just delete the old version before installing the new one.
If you would like to post any comments on the track, please feel free to sign up and post your comments in this thread.
Also, please to do not report this link without our permission. We are attempting to keep track on how many people download the track. If enough interset is shown, we will continue building more tracks. Thanks for understanding, enjoy!

| Hi: In the Concord track I tested off line and found that after a few yellows that the pace car gets stuck in the infield fence. Are you aware of this if so is there a fix yet. Thank you. |

I just did 750 laps of racing and nothing of the sort happened. If it happens again, could you email me the replay to look over it.
Thanks,

Thats to funny. I did another 750 laps with AI turned up high as it would go, and didnt produce that outcome. I havent heard from anyone else of this problem. By any chance did u mess with the ini? If not, we can just slide the pacecar over a little bit.

No Sir. I did nothing to any files. What it looks like to me is as the pace car is coming down pit road and the race racecars are getting green. and if there is a wreck wright after green and yellow comes out ,the pace car wants to park but starts out and then ---- you seen what happins. This mite jest be something that does not happin very often. I think that you did a great job on the track.By the way I would like to try it on line and add this track to are schedule. Would you like me to add a link to your forms and my guys would have to come here to get the track that way you keep track of your downloads. |

Yes, ok, and thanks! lol We are just trying to see what kind of traffic we get. If we get to out of control when we release others, like when u have geocities account, and exceed bandwidth, we will look for other options then. But for now, please just link to us. As for the pace car issue, give us a little bit for us to sit down and come up with a simple fix. I HOPE!

Ok, we haven't seen any pace car behavior problems ourselves. One problem was brought to my attention via replay. When the race began and the green flag dropped the pace car took its normal route to its stall. A split second after the green flag dropped, the yellow came out. This appeared to have confused the pace car and it headed for the infield. This seems to be an isolated experience, because we have tried and tried to recreate it and can't. Except when the caution comes out a split secong after green. If the wreck would happen say 2 seconds after the green flag dropped (turn 1 instead of front straight) the pace seemd to be fine. So in conclusion, as long as the pace car is given a chance to settle in its stall, everything is fine. In case you are concerned with this problem or have experienced the problem yourself, you can copy and paste the following section into your CMP .ini file. Be sure you overwrite what is currently there.
; pace car begin_pacestall_entry_offset = 20.0 ; offset at which to begin entering the pit stall begin_pacestall_approach_offset = 45.0 ; offset at which to begin approaching the pit stall pacestall_exit_goal_dlong_offset = 9.0 ; goal dlong offset (ahead) for the pit stall exit pacestall_exit_goal_dlat_offset = -5.5 ; goal dlat offset for the pit stall exit stall_pace = 75.50 28.20 0.00
In case this doens't fix your problem, please let me know. I ran several tests on these numbers and I couldn't get the pace car to act funny in any way at any time. Enjoy! |

Somebody using this track for practice for the upcoming Short Track Championships discovered a problem. When you enter the pits and you drive through the pit stall area of last pit instead of actually on pit road, you get a committment line black flag. If you encounter this problem, or if you are participating in the upcoming Short Track Championships, YOU MUST DOWNLOAD THIS FILE!!!!
http://nsrs.jawcentral.com/tracks/track.ini
Just insert this into your CMP track folder and overwrite the old one. |
