V8 Series Rules
Races will be held on Saturday at 11am EST, 8am PST, 4PM GMT, 5pm CET.
The schedule will be 10 tracks in length with two races at each track. We will be using tracks from around the world, since many of the current Aussie tracks are not compatible with the current RF version. There will be an additional special event close to mid-season bringing the track total to 11 events.
The races will be from 20-30 laps in length and ran in two segments with a short intermission between races.

Special Event race will be a 2-hour endurance race. Double points will be awarded for this event.

Raceday Schedule will consist of two 30 min practice sessions, Qualifying will be set to allow 10 laps so make em count. A 5 minute "Warm-up" session. Race 1 will go down immediately after, we will wait for no-one. If you can not make it to the starting grind on time others will not suffer. There will be a short intermission while the grid is reset for race two then race two will begin.
Race 1 grid positions will be set by qualifying performance. Race 2 grid position will be set using the following guidelines.

  • Finishing position of race 1
  • 2. DNF's in order of number of laps completed
  • 3. DNS's by car number.

This means even if you wreck or suffer mechanical failure in race 1 you will be starting race 2. DO NOT leave the server. The way that it will be configured for race 2 you will NOT get back in.

  • Point are awarded for finishing position only. There are no points for laps lead, most laps or pole positions. Point Schedule is as follow.

  • 1st - 128
  • 2nd - 124
  • 3rd - 120
  • 4th - 116
  • 5th - 112
  • 6th - 108
  • 7th - 104
  • 8th - 100
  • 9th - 96
  • 10th - 92
  • etc.
  • Penalty flags will be on. So if you are impeding the leaders when getting lapped you will be flagged and penalized. Aggressive driving will most likely be penalized as will cutting corners. If you incur a penalty I am sorry for you but there is nothing admin can or will do to correct the problem. Follow the rules and use you speed limiter in the pits. YOU are the best way to avoid getting penalized.
Race starts will be a standing start WITH formation lap. Do not get out of line on the formation lap to far or you will be disqualified. Use this lap to warm up tires and get brakes set in.
We will be using fixed set-ups. I know this may hamper some people but we are modifing the default set-ups on teh server side to give you rthe best set-up we can find for the track. Several tracks the base default set-ups may remain, the game gives you some pretty decent ones to start with.
Custom painted cars will be allowed for the series. Car makes MUST be either a Holden or Ford, and all paint jobs will be subject to review. All cars must be sumbitted by the 30th of November. You will be allowed ONE car paint job for the season UNLESS your custom car folder you sumbit has alternate paint jobs included in it. We will NOT add cars mid-season unless we recruit new drivers to the series. They are the only exception.
